Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco - is a Canadian and American musician and singer. She has released over 20 albums. DiFranco describes her music as folk-rock or alternative. However, it includes influences like punk, hip-hop, and jazz. Ani Difranco is believed to be a feminist legend and a Grammy award-winning. Being one of the first female artists in the 1990s, DiFranco founded her own label. DiFranco's parents were Elizabeth (Ross), a former student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each the other when they were each attending. Her father is of Italian heritage, while her mother is from Montreal. 32 Flavors was a track composed as well as performed by Ani DiFranco. The track was released on her fifth studio album Not a Pretty Girl which was released in 1995. The song is featured in the soundtrack to the Canadian romantic drama Better Than Chocolate from 1999. DiFranco made an apology public in 2013, after it became clear that she'd planned a three-day seminar at a Louisiana plantation. The event was cancelled however, certain (including the newspaper) failed to see it as a sign of regret. DiFranco issued another apology several days afterwards. The singer is well-known for her Little Folksinger songs, however she has worked with several different genres and artists from Pete Seeger to Chuck D. New Orleans is where she lives. Ani DiFranco is with Kristen Ford. At 14, she began writing her own songs. They were played in caf s and bars through her teens. DiFranco started taking courses in Buffalo State College at age 16 after graduating from Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts. Ani DiFranco rose to famous status as a singer/songwriter and punk/folk at the age 25, both in the eyes of both fans and critics with Not A Pretty Girl.
