Lisa Olivia Munn grew up in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid's mom is Chinese and she was born as a Chinese in Vietnam. Winston Barrett Munn is from the American South. The couple divorced when Olivia was just two years old and she was a child of her father and stepfather who was a member of the United States Air Force. Even though the family moved out of Oklahoma and resided in many places, she was raised at Tokyo, Japan. While in Japan, she acted as an actress at local theater performances and then was an Japanese fashion model. Olivia, who had been living with her parents in Los Angeles in order to fulfill her desire to become an actor and continued working towards her goal after the family moved back to America. Following a series of minor parts, Olivia landed a role when she got the role in the role of Mily Acua in the Hawaii filmed TV series Beyond the Break 2006 and as the receptionist of Rob Schneider. She is the host of "The Daily Nut", "Formula D" as well as "The Formula D Podcasts" on G4. She is a fan of surfing, something she is still practicing after the TV show Beyond the Break (2006).
