Luciana was brought up at home in Rome with her grandparents - Luciana's dad was Manlio Paoluzzi who was an Italian army officer and her maternal grandmother was Maria Rota Paoluzzi who was at one time Benito Mussolini's lovers. There's no record of her having siblings. Luciana was a student at the local high school, and, after graduation in 1955, she studied Naval Engineering at the Scientific Academy of Milan. The only woman in the class. Luciana first became fashion models after only two years. Her professional career took a turn following, and by chance, she got her first acting role on screen in Three Coins in the Fountain. Her first marriage was with Brett Halsey who is also an actor. They made Return to the Peyton Palace together after their 1960 wedding. Luciana and Charles had a son who was called Charles 13 June 1961. But, they split up a year after the birth. Luciana then gained custody. Between 1962 and 1970 Luciana was with Tony Athony, an actor and producer who was influenced by her work in the film Green Slime and based on that he wrote and produced this mix Spaghetti Western for which he gained some recognition.
