Hayley Orantia is American actress, musician and performer. Her most well-known roles includes Erica Goldberg who stars in 'The Goldbergs,' an American comedy show. Her primary focus is as a performer. Since she was 9 years of age, she was playing around with music. When she was 12 years old, music was taken seriously enough, that she started professional training. Following a few attempts at writing songs, she recorded the album with covers at the age of fourteen. Since then there has been no looking back. Orrantia is a native of America, but has Hispanic roots. Despite the fact that she only spoke English growing up and had never been to Mexico Orrantia feels extremely proud of her Hispanic heritage. To preserve the heritage she's learning Spanish. She also creates songs that incorporate the language. "Hasta Verte," a track she composed in Spanish is one such attempt. Orrantia was picked to perform for the X Factor's inaugural season, which aired in summer the year 2011. Orrantia was awarded four "yeses" by the panel of judges on the Seattle live audition stage following having been selected from her YouTube submission. The first time she auditioned, she was a solo performer, but in the course of "Hollywood Week", three other female performers were added to a group to continue the auditions.
